Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Thinking of you and may you find moments of comfort and peace in the midst of your grief. Jackie will always be a special memory for us. It was Mother's day 1968, Jackie and I stopped by her cousins house at Ft Jackson and during this visit two soldiers was invited to come over to meet two very young ladies. Jackie and I looked out of the window as they got out of the car one was dressed in a stripped shirt and plaid shorts with lime green socks. Jackie took a long look and then said to me "I am not taking the clown". I got the clown and 53 loving years later I thank her. She was the first person I told that I was going to marry that clown.
