ELGIN – A memorial service to celebrate the life of Steven Oneal Jeffers, 50, will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Rev. Paul Miles and the Rev. George Cashwell will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Private burial will be held in Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 Fair Street, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mr. Jeffers died Thursday, January 2, 2014. Born in Beaufort, S.C., he was the son of Ruby Moak Jeffers and the late Thomas Bobby Jeffers. He was an avid Gamecock fan and loved his dog, “Angel”. Surviving are his mother, Ruby Moak Jeffers of Elgin; brothers, Jerry Jeffers (Sharon) of Elgin and Andy Jeffers (Tammy) of Cassatt; sister, Holli Knight (James) of Fountain Inn; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by brothers, Kayle Jeffers and Ray Jeffers.
