Dixie was one of the strongest women I knew. I remember seeing an article in a Charlotte paper about a woman who had a child without eyes.BUT that lady was complaint that it was too much for her! I promptly commented that I had a friend that had twins whit the same problem. BUT my friend didn’t complain. She just started raising her twins. I told them how old the girls lived to be and how much Dixie pushed these doctors to the point that her girls got everything that was available plus a lot that she had to fight tooth and nail for.. I didn’t give any names or location. I just wanted them to know about a truly Strong, great woman she was.(if any of you think this is too personal, please feel free to delete this.) I loved Dixie and she knew that Mike and I both really loved her! Mike and Nina
