John was one of the first people I met when I moved to Detroit from Flint to take a job at Wheel Trueing following my military service in 1971. I will always remember him as an easy-going, helpful, jovial fellow and the years we worked together in Detroit and Columbia. Although we both chose to live in Elgin, I have to regret not staying closer with John. But there has always been a calming knowledge that his presence was nearby. He will ever be in my heart and memories. My condolences go forth to Barbara and the children and their families. God bless and keep you all.
