Obituary of Glenda Marie Barwick Felkins

Glenda Marie Barwick Felkins, 79, of Elgin, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Born in Panama City, FL on January 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late William Ira and Lovie Goodwin Barwick and the wife of the late Edward Felkins. Glenda was a member of Christ Center United Pentecostal Church in West Columbia. She was known for having a green thumb, and always loved working in her yard. She enjoyed attending church and singing, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Wayne Felkins, Teresa Felkins, Wayne Felkins, Jr. (Heidi), and Crystal Patton (Trey); her brother, Harold Barwick; grandchildren, Kristyn Bryan, Austin Peake, Landen Goff, Ashlynn Wright, Laykenn Wiseman, Serenity Felkins, Brogan Felkins, and Ayrastynn Patton; and great-grandchildren, Addie Bryan, Ryder Bryan, and Karson Bryan; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six siblings.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Christ Center United Pentecostal Church in West Columbia, officiated by Brother Scott Smith. Burial will be held at a later date in Jasper, AL.
