Obituary of Jerry L. Jackson

LUGOFF – A service to celebrate the life of Jerry Lynn Jackson, 79, will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 6:30 pm. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.

    Mr. Jackson passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021. Born in Lugoff, he was the son of the late James Thomas and Mary Ellen Hinson Jackson. Mr. Jackson retired as a supervisor from Duke Energy where he worked in the Power Plant.  He loved singing gospel music and sang with several Southern Gospel groups.

    He is survived by his wife, Shirley Branham Jackson; step-son, Willis “Cricket” Arledge; granddaughter, Monica Arledge; sister, Sue Pullen (Wilbert); brother, Bruce Jackson; and nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was predeceased by his sister, Ruby J. Clayton; and brother, Charles Jackson.
