Obituary of Mary Jacqueline Mathis Hinson

CAMDEN- A celebration of life service for Mary Jacqueline Mathis Hinson, 80, will be held at a later date. Powers Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.

    Mrs. Hinson, wife of the late John Edward Hinson, Sr., passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Blanche Mathis. Mrs. Hinson was a member of Bethel Worship Center. She received a degree in nursing and worked in several different nursing homes in the area. She enjoyed sewing.

    Surviving are her son, Bernie “Mike” Hinson of Camden; daughter, Tammy Harrison of Camden; brother, Joe Mathis (Cynthia); sister, Nancy Daily; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Doug T. Hinson, William Butch Hinson, and John Edward Hinson, Jr.
