Obituary of Charles Melvin DuBose

LUGOFF- A memorial service for Charles Melvin DuBose, 82, will be private.

    Mr. DuBose passed away Friday, June 25, 2021. Born in South Carolina, he was a son of the late Willie DuBose Sr. and Mattie Outten DuBose. Mr. DuBose was a construction worker and a jack-of-all trades. He enjoyed building things, hunting and especially fishing.

     Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Johnnie Evelyn Ruff DuBose; children, Sharon Murphy (Paul) of Alabama, Robbin Cooke (Gregory) of Elgin, Tory DuBose (Fiancé Michelle Diamond) of Columbia, Latoya DuBose of Lugoff; sisters, Beatrice Harris, Ernestine Floyd, Eunice DuBose, Elizabeth Gripper; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Kim DuBose, and a brother, Willie DuBose, Jr.
