Obituary of Sammie Lee Jones

LUGOFF-Sammie Lee Jones, 85, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021. Born in McBee on May 28, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Herbert Lee and Kate Knight Lee. Mrs. Jones was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and sewing.

    Surviving are her daughters, Bridget Brown (Keith) of Lugoff, Linda Parnell of Lugoff; grandchildren, Stephanie Richburg (Joe), Rebecca Parnell, Luke Parnell, Josh Parnell, Kristin Brown; and a sister, Ann Steigerwald. She was predeceased by her husband, William Edward Jones; and siblings, Dorothy Plyler, Butch Catoe and Larry Lee.

    Services for Mrs. Jones will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
