Obituary of Morris Milton Dow, Sr.

CAMDEN-A graveside service for Morris Milton Dow, Sr., 68, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Freddie Thomas will officiate. A public viewing will be held Wednesday from 1-5 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

    Mr. Dow passed away Friday, June 25, 2021. Born in Boykin, he was a son of the late Richard C. and Rosana Burroughs Dow. Mr. Dow was a faithful member of Evangelistic Community Church where he enjoyed playing the keyboard and the guitar. He also enjoyed shooting pool, race cars, and watching boxing and westerns.

    Surviving are his wife, Rhonda Bennett Dow; daughter, Tara Sanders (Antonio) of Columbia; sons, Morris Dow, Jr. and Rashad Dow both of Camden; he was blessed with 2 bonus daughters, Babygirl Shanie Halley and Latosha Greene; siblings, Barbara Jasper, Leola Dow, Mary Kirkland (Francis), Bessie Dow, Pastor Vivian Norwood (Wendell), Larry Dow (Vernell), Osteen Dow, Co-Pastor, Marie Stewart (Andrew), Meola Dow, Katie Dow, Richard Dow (Lula); 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was predeceased by siblings, Susie Adams, Lewis Dow, William Dow, Annette Dow and Rosana Dow.
