Obituary of Kathy Gail Schaad

Kathy Gail Schaad, 60, of Swansea, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Lowery and Mary Branham and the wife of Douglas Alan Schaad. Kathy was a member of Radiate Church in Elgin. She enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with her family and pets. Kathy liked traveling to the beach and mountains. She loved Elvis, lighthouses, and all things purple. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband, Kathy is survived by her daughters, Wendy Ribelin (Kevin), Jessica Bagwell (Shane), Stacey Sellers (Mary), Brittani Mishoe (John), Felicity Schaad, and Danielle Schaad; her stepfather, Gordon Truett Branham, Sr.; her siblings, Pam Goff (Floyd) and Gordon Branham, Jr. (Megan); and grandchildren, Weston Bagwell, Shane Leigh Bagwell, Waylon Mishoe, and Wyatt Mishoe.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, officiated by Pastor Brandon Goff. Burial will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00pm.
