Obituary of Merritt Ann Kelly

Merritt Ann Kelly ended her brave battle and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, August 5, 2021. Born on May 8, 2021, she was the daughter of Joseph Bennett “Ben” Kelly, Jr. and Kendall Walters Kelly. Merritt was a feisty and courageous girl who loved her parents, her sister, and her paci. She was deeply loved by all the nurses who had the privilege to care for her, especially Nurse Holly.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Mills Marie Kelly; her maternal grandparents, Joseph and TyAnn Walters; paternal grandparents, Jody and Cheryl Kelly; maternal great-grandparents, Jim and Pat Rutledge; paternal great-grandparents, Steve and Maryann Bowen; and uncles, Chandler Walters (Natalie) and Ryan Kelly (Sarah).

She was predeceased by her paternal great-grandparents, Angus and Lou Beth Kelly; and maternal great-grandparents, Joseph Walters, Sr. and Fannie Walters. 

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
