Obituary of Steven John Wilcox

Steven John Wilcox, 64, of Elgin, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021. Born in England, he was the son of Glenys Wilcox and the late Dennis Wilcox and the husband of Susan Wilcox. Steven was employed as an Electrical Engineering Manager with A.O. Smith in McBee, SC. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, woodworking, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. Steven also enjoyed spending time at the shooting range, where he was a frequent patron and served as a range Safety Officer. 

In addition to his beloved wife of 42 years, Steven is survived by his sister, Sandra Hackwood (Phillip); sons, Christopher Wilcox (Emily), Richard Wilcox, and Andrew Wilcox (Angela); and grandchildren, Dexter, Oliver, Jacob, Ava, Angelina, and Anthony.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
