Obituary of Shasta Tynetta Scott

Shasta Tynetta Scott, 41, of Camden, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of Grace Kelly Scott (Ivory Thompson) and the late Hazel Scott.

In addition to her mother, Shasta is survived by her children, Khadijah Thompson, Malaisha Williams, and Doria Scott; her sister, Latosha Scott; aunts, Victoria Kelly, Isabella Woods, Maria Martin, and Josephine Manning Williams (Gene); her great-aunt, Ella Pearl Kirklands; uncles, Terry Scott (Gail) and Herbert Woods (Vivian); as well as a host of cousins and relatives and two special friends, Theodore Robinson and Stoney.

In addition to her father, Hazel “Butch” Scott, she was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Katie Woods (Lloyd Kelly); paternal grandparents, Annie Bell Goodwin Scott (Joe Wiley); and a host of uncles and aunts.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. A public viewing will be held at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 12:00pm.
