Obituary of Will S. Jones, Jr.

LUGOFF- A celebration of Life service for William Scott “Will” Jones, Jr., 25, will be held Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Bobby Young will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kershaw County Food for the Soul.

    Will passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Born in Columbia, he was the son of W. Scott and Bridget Maree Jones. Will received a Bachelor’s of Science in Sports Management from Columbia International University. Prior to completion of his degree, Will played college football at Coastal Carolina University and Wingate University. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed playing soccer, video games, working out, and hanging out with his dog, Jasper.

     Surviving are his parents, Scott and Bridget Jones of Lugoff; sisters, Skylar Jones of Myrtle Beach, Macaylee Jones of Columbia; paternal grandmother, Patricia S. Jones; and numerous other loving family and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Valerie B. Gibson of Kershaw.
