Obituary of Linda Wilson Axe
Lugoff - Linda Grey Wilson Axe, wife of the late Kevin E. Axe, gained her angel wings on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Born in New Bern, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Henry Leon and Iola Louise Howell Wilson. Linda graduated from Carteret Technical College in Morehead City, N.C. with an Associates degree in Business Administration. She worked for many years and retired as a civil servant from the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in N.C.
Beloved sister, mother, niece, cousin, and aunt, Linda loved her family and her Lord Jesus Christ. She started each morning reading her Bible while enjoying a cup or two of coffee. Linda was an avid cruiser and would have lived on a Carnival ship if it had been possible. She was extremely organized and enjoyed and had a talent for painting with acrylics. She kept current on political matters and was still getting accustomed to life in South Carolina after moving here from North Carolina only 3 years ago. Linda had recently started attending Grace Life Church in Lugoff and was making many friends there. She was very active and kept a weekly to-do list that included renovating her workshop into a tiny home. Linda remembered birthdays and anniversaries and still mailed actual cards in celebration.
Celebrating her life still here on earth are her daughter, Jennifer C. Moemen; grandchildren, Jesse Chason, Trent Chason, and Aiden Marie Axe; sisters, Faye Powell (Kenneth), Sue Sigmon, and Karen Wilson; brothers; Ken Wilson and Richie Wilson (Carol); one aunt, Annie Dru Smith and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Celebrating with Linda and Jesus in Heaven are her brother, Tim Wilson, and her only son, Chuck Chason. Missing her tremendously are her favorite grand-dog, Tucker Rain, and grand-cats, Rascal Flatts and Swayze Grey.
Services for Linda Grey Wilson Axe will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
