Obituary of Clennie C. McCaskill

CASSATT – Funeral service for Clennie Clyburn McCaskill, 79, will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Scotch Cemetery.  The Rev. T. Wayne Dority and the Rev. Brody Pope will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeshore Drive Church of God or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

    Mr. McCaskill passed away at home on Saturday, October 16, 2021.  Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Wesley Kenneth and Theo Bullock McCaskill.  He was the former owner of Carolina Conveyer Installers. He was a member of Lakeshore Drive Church of God.

    Mr. McCaskill was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family.  He enjoyed playing golf, camping and going to the mountains.

    Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Evelyn Thompson McCaskill; children, Shelly M. Dority (T. Wayne) of Camden, Chip McCaskill (Lisa) of Cassatt, Shannon Amerson (James) of Cassatt and Jason McCaskill (Graham) of Camden; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by sisters, Mildred McCaskill, Ann Garren, Lucille Hopkins and May Tiller; and brother, W.K. McCaskill.
