Obituary of Derita Kaye Adams

LUGOFF – A service to celebrate the life of Derita Kaye Adams, 66, will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or a charity of one’s choice. 

    Mrs. Adams passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.  Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Donald Wink and Shirley Hardin Gray.  She enjoyed crafts, flowers, gardening taking care of her pets and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She loved picking up seashells.

    Surviving are her daughters, Melissa Kaye Bowen Hinson (William B.) and Laura Michelle Bowen Keener (Tim); son, Tommy Wayne “T.J.” Bowen Jr. (Jodie); additional children, Christopher D. Wink (Dana) and Thomas Wayne Wink; sisters, Sharon L. Hinson, and Carolyn Costener; brother, David Wink; grandchildren, Jacob L. Eddings, Savannah Bowen, Dylan Smith, Tripp Bowen, Brodie Bowen, William “Ben” Hinson Jr., Chris Hinson, Callie Wink, Wyatt Wink, Alexis Wink, Bentley Wink, Regan Wink, Braedon Teague, Jesse Lee Grainger; and great-grandchildren, Savannah Hinson, Mary Grace Glover, Liam Hinson, and Clayton Hinson.  She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Brittany Wink; and brother, Doug Moree.
