LAKE WATEREE – Funeral services for James William “Buddy” Casey Jr., 61, will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral home with burial to follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Eric Boone will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Mr. Casey passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014. Born in Whitmire, S.C., he was a son of the late James William Casey Sr. and Billie Jean Cash Casey. He served in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. Mr. Casey was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and the Lugoff Masonic Lodge #411. He enjoyed amateur radio, fishing and boating. Surviving are his wife, Helen Charlene Simmons Casey; step-children, Lauren Hull, Matthew Hull and Jessica Hull, all of the home; brothers, Kerry Davidson (Joye), Gary Casey and Jimmy Casey; and sisters, Vicki Hoover (Chris) and Judy Conklin (Ben). He was predeceased by a son, James W. Casey III.
