Obituary of Ethel Anna Corder

Ethel Anna Gambrell Corder, 75, of Kershaw, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021. Born in Hendersonville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Luther Preston and Doris Craft Gambrell and the wife of the late Henry Thomas Corder. Ethel enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Corder and Amanda Duggan (Charlie); grandchildren, Henry Threatt, Arthur Brown, Dawn Lamoreaux, Renee Duggan, Zachary Duggan, and Matthew Turner; a great-grandchild, Blake Wilson; and siblings, George Gambrell, Sandra Catoe (Jimmy), and Brenda Hornsby.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her siblings, Larry Gambrell, Jerry Gambrell, and Pete Gambrell.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
