Obituary of Daisy Mae Outten

Daisy Mae Outten, 68, of Elgin, slipped away from her earthly home to dwell in her heavenly home. A house not made by man, but an eternal dwelling where joy shall ever reign, and no more sickness or disappointments will she bear. Daisy was born on September 20, 1953, to Maggie Lee Outten and the late Albert Moore. She received her education in Kershaw County Schools, graduating from Lugoff-Elgin High School. After graduating, she worked at Springs Mill in Lancaster, SC. Always having a passion for children, she eventually committed herself full time to being a “nanny”. To know her is to know that she found joy in caring for those who were blessed by her warmth and compassion. Daisy was a loving and caring individual. Her gentle ways made her who she was. She was often referred to as Momma Daisy, Nanny, Nana, Momma, Auntie, Ms. Daisy, or BooBoo. Precious memories of her will always be cherished.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Wesley Outten (Likeshia), Cleotis Outten, and Sierra Dixon (Stefano); her mother, Maggie Lee Outten; brothers, Floyd Outten and Lindsay Thompson; grandchildren, Wesley Outten, Olivia Outten, Deiagus Dixon, and De’Andre Dixon; as well as her godchildren, bonus children, and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Public Viewing will be held from 1:00-3:00PM on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Powers Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00PM on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Powers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sutton Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Lugoff, SC.
