I met Ruth this past summer when we stayed in their community with my son Daniel and his wife Amanda, one of Ruth's grandchildren. Ruth opened her house to us and was gracious enough to cook most of our meals.
Her coleslaw was amazing, and I know her secret ingredient
At one point Ruth decided that she wanted to take me on a tour of her community with her golf cart.
It didn't seem like Ruth was one to argue with, so I went.
We were gone for 30 minutes or so and had a wonderful time together just talking.
She will be missed.

Ruth was Ocean Side Village - from working in the kitchen at the pancake breakfasts, to water aerobics, selling tickets for various events, to bringing the children here from Carolina Forest High School. I am so sorry for your loss of this wonderful, giving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by one and all of us.

Ruth was always so friendly! I will miss seeing her riding around on her three wheeler. She would always stop and visit. My husband took water aerobics for awhile. Once when he had missed several, she came by to check on him. She always thought of others.

Still have Ruth in my recent phone calls. She was very special to me:getting tickets for performances and finding rides for me. Ali loved her water aerobics classes when I was able to go. She will be sorely missed by all of us in Oceanside Village. Love and hugs are sent to Ron, Renee, and all of her family!

I am so sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. Ruth was a dear friend to me and so many others. She taught me what it was to be an OSV community volunteer. She placed faith in my abilities to orchestrate events. Anyone could always walk by Ruth and Rons house and drop in for a visit so wishing I could hug each of the family that I know. Ruthie was our very delightful water aerobics leader at our Tupelo Bay Villas on Tuesday and Thursday! Everyone loved her sweet and easygoing personality. She spoke often of her loving husband Ron and cherished their 65 years of marriage! Ruthie will be missed greatly here at Tupelo Bay Villas.
