Obituary of Teresa Dinkins Sharpe

Teresa Dinkins Sharpe, 67, of Blythewood, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Prisma Health Richland. Born in Ridgeway, she was the daughter of the late Odell and Tessie Scott Dinkins and the wife of James D. “Jimmy” Sharpe. She worked at Bethel-Hanberry as a Teaching Assistant, loving the children until her health forced her to retire. She served the Lord faithfully and was a member of Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church, where she was the doorkeeper for over 30 years. Teresa enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her children and grandchildren, who were her whole heart. She never missed the chance to say, “I love you.”

In addition to her husband of 50 years, Teresa is survived by her son, Jeff Sharpe (Lynde); daughters, Tina Lewis (Patrick) and Ashley Pope (Willy); as well as her grandchildren, Mason Sharpe, Liam Pope, Avery Pope, and McKenzie Humphries. “We love you more.”

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Dean Reynolds and Rev. Richard Humphries.
