Obituary of Mary Ruth Cook

CAMDEN- A funeral service for Mary Ruth McInvaille Cook, 69, will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. at DeKalb Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Christopher Brissey and the Rev. Ralph Rawls will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, Greenville.

    Mrs. Cook passed away Friday, March 11, 2022. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Dorsey Colon and Loretta Pate McInvaille. Mrs. Cook was a member of Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy. She owned Little People’s World Day Care and enjoyed taking care of children.

    Surviving are her husband, Gary Webb; sons, Michael Cook of Camden, Chris Cook (Tammy) of Rembert, Brian Cook of Sumter, Eric Cook (Alicia) of Camden; siblings, Gary McInvaille (Sabrina), Jeanette Taylor; grandchildren, Daniel Cook, Matthew Cook, Abbey Cook, Riley Cook, Kinley Cook, Brianna Cook, Kala Cook, Chloee Cook, October Cook, and Hailey Langley; 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Daniel Cook; and siblings, Grafton McInvaille, Colon McInvaille, Annette Belk, and Norma Baker.
