Obituary of Eleanor A. Anderson

BETHUNE – A service to celebrate the life of Eleanor A. Anderson, 78, will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Bethel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Bethune.  The family will receive friends Saturday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.

    Mrs. Anderson passed away at home on Monday, March 14, 2022.  Born in Bethune, she was the daughter of the late Wesley DeWitt and Lillie Shaw Mickle Aldrich.  She retired from DuPont where she worked in the Chemical Lab.  She enjoyed, flowers, gardening, arts and crafts, but most of all being a mom.

   Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Carlton Eugene Anderson, Jr.; son Adrian Aldrich (Sharon) of Columbia; daughter, Deidre Gooden (Perry) of Cassatt; step-daughter, Amy LeJeune of Bethune; adopted daughters, LaShea Aldrich, Erin Summerville and Roberta Mayes; brothers, Robert Aldrich (Betty) and Reginald Outen; sister, Mable Goodwin (Phillip); grandchildren, Jessica Durant (Raymond III), Aliya Summerville, Tatiana Vasquez, Kendrick Washington, Paige Burke and Allison Corbett; great-grandchildren, Raymond IV, Aiden, Cameron and Eliana; aunts, Addy Mickle of New Jersey and Mable Mickle of Kershaw, SC; special nieces, Zariah and KateLyn; brothers-in-law, Randy Anderson (Diane) Camden, SC and Kevin Anderson (Devynne) Simpsonville, SC; and 2 lifetime friends, Edna Harris of Camden, SC and Pearl Mills of Camden, SC.
