Obituary of Rose Ann Harris Davis

A service to celebrate the life of Rosetta Ann Harris “Rose” Davis, 77, will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 12 noon at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Rembert, S.C., with burial to follow in the church cemetery. A Public Viewing will be held Monday, April 25, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Powers Funeral Home. 

    Mrs. Davis, wife of the late John A. Davis, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022.  Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Bynum Harris, Sr. and Alpha Taylor Harris.  Before retiring she worked for Springdale Health Care and Haier Manufacture.  She was a faithful member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church where she served on the usher board, hospitality committee, pastor’s aid, YWA and sang in the choir.  She was former president of the F.L. Thomas Singers.  Mrs. Davis was an avid Clemson fan and enjoyed watching sports, cooking and spending time with her family.

    Surviving are her son, Sammy L. Brisbon (Mary); daughter, Jacqueline Brisbon; siblings, Bynum Harris (Judy), Omega Harris (Jean), Margaret Hampton (Charlie), Linda  McBride (Glenn), and Michael Harris; 6 grandchildren, Tiaudra Brisbon, Devin Brisbon, Perdina Brisbon, Ja’Quan Brisbon, Ja’Veon Brisbon and Landen Jackson; and a great-grandchild, Jenesis Brisbon.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Carmen Brisbon; and brother, Johnny Harris.
