Obituary of Ivory Roberts Angevine

Ivory Roberts Angevine, 94, of Camden, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Bessie Brown Roberts, and the wife of the late Walter Angevine, Sr. Ivory was a longtime member of Northeast Wesleyan Church in Columbia. She spent her working life as a Registered Nurse at KershawHealth and Providence Hospitals. She was an avid bingo player, and her family lovingly described her as “one of a kind.” Above all, she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who loved her family fiercely.  

She is survived by her children, Donald Corbett, Walter “Chip” Angevine, Jr., Danny Jack Corbett, and Selena Runk; grandchildren, Candice Whitehouse, Steven Corbett, Allison Corbett, Danny Jack “DJ” Corbett, Jr., Jackson Angevine, and MacKenzie Angevine; her sister, Louise Richardson; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ivory was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Marie Corbett; as well as five brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. A graveside service will follow the visitation in Northeast Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Columbia.
