Obituary of Carolyn Ledford Hyde

Carolyn Ledford Hyde, 81, of Lugoff, SC and formerly of Charlotte, NC passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, surrounded by her beloved family. She was the daughter of the late William Bunyon Ledford and Margie French. She was a data entry/claims specialist for much of her life before retiring from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Mrs. Hyde enjoyed Cross Stitching, decorating, reading books, and she loved her cat. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of 49 years, Dennis Hyde; daughters, Dana Smigiel (Ryan) and Daphne Stevens; sisters, Sherry Billingsly (Johnny) and Debbie Yandle (Tony); and granddaughters, BreAnna Hyde and Ella Claire Smigiel.

She was predeceased by her father, William Bunyon Ledford and mother, Margie French; son, Kyle Hyde; and sister, Phyllis French.

A graveside service will be held at Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Quaker Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.
