I have so many childhood memories with Jerry Lee but one sticks out we were down at the horse stables where I boarded my horses near Jerry lees home place and his friends the Westfall boys were there too and Shirley had gotten a horse in the was wild it had never been ridden and shd asked us who wanted to give it a try and finally Jerry Lee jumped up and said I’ll show y’all how to ride it before he hit his butt in the saddle that horse threw him over his head and he hit the ground and tried to jump back up in his feet but he site didn’t try to jump back on that horse and then the Westfall boys backed out so I gave it a try and I got thrown but at Least I made it to The saddle and got my feet in the stirrups and made it around the ring about half way before it put me in the dirt too! I don’t remember Jerry Lee ever getting on another horse over there after that ! Lol! I have to admit I didn’t really want to try it after I saw him swing his leg over the horse ti get on and it throw him straight off! Jerry Lee loved football when we were kids we were in the Cabin Creek Colts and I think back then that was his sport and Tony’s was boxing ! It just seems like yesterday until you do the math on How many years ago! If you were friends with Jerry Lee time not distance I friended you when you saw him it was like it was when you ran around together! He was one of the good ones and he loved and was proud of his family!
