LUGOFF – A memorial service for Billy Ralph Maltby, 79, will be held Friday at 5:00 p.m. at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, Camden. The Rev. Dr. Angela Jennings will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Mr. Maltby, husband of the late Sarah Walker Maltby, passed away March 21, 2014. Born in Garfield, GA, he was a son of the late Ralph and Lilly Bell Maltby. Mr. Maltby was a member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church. He was an avid Carolina Gamecocks fan. Surviving are his son, David Lawrence Maltby of Lugoff; sister, Jeanette Johnson; brother-in-law, Bill Taylor (Diane); and close family friend, Mary Lostetter. He was predeceased by his wife; and brothers, Thomas, Curtis, Hugh, Roy, and George Maltby.
