Obituary of Meagan West Newman

WEST COLUMBIA- A funeral service for Meagan West Newman, 36, will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Jackie Knight will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Teen Challenge of SC, 20515 N. Fraser St., Georgetown, SC 29440.

    Meagan passed away on August 15, 2022. Born in Savannah, GA, she was a daughter of Ronnie Matthew Newman and Marilyn Lee Newman. Meagan enjoyed being with family, trips to the beach and traveling, journaling, drawing, baking and reading.

    Surviving are her daughter, Savanna Mae Newman; fiancé, Stephen Rowe; father, Ronnie Newman; mother, Marilyn Newman; grandfather, Milledge Byron Newman; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by grandmother, Jean West Newman.
