Obituary of William Bradshaw
LUGOFF – A memorial service to celebrate the life of William Howard “Bill” Bradshaw, 82, will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Cameron will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3-4 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Waters at 7935 Parkway Road, Balsom Grove, NC 28708.
Mr. Bradshaw passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Born in Jacksonville, FL, he was a son of the late William and Martha Lucille Bradshaw. Mr. Bradshaw was a member of Lost Sheep Ministries. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service. He served in the Korean War and also the Vietnam War, where he earned many medals and decorations. He was the former owner and operator of the Wateree Dam Sport Shop from 1973-1977. He was a member of the VFW, and enjoyed yard work, gardening, and golfing.
Surviving are his wife of 16 years, Ellen Rosa Bradshaw; daughters, Bonnie Burris (Walter) of Lugoff, Brenda Gladden (Mendal) of Lugoff, Debbie Barfield of Ridgeway; sisters, Martha Moncrief and Linda Youmans; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grand children. He was predeceased by his first wife, Bonnie Jean Bradshaw; and a brother, Norman Bradshaw.
