Obituary of Horace McLeod

CAMDEN- A funeral service for Horace McLeod, 50, will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cedar Cemetery. The Rev. Marion Bennett will officiate.

    Horace entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 8, 2022. Born and raised in Camden, he was a son of the late John McLeod II and Ida Jane McLeod. He was proceeded in death by 2 sisters, Betty Jean McLeod and Ella Jane Jackson. Mr. McLeod was a people person who loved his family and having fun. He enjoyed going out, dancing and laughing with people.

    He leaves to cherish all his precious memories his brothers, James Leroy Jackson, John McLeod, Jr. (Nataly), Anthony McLeod (Kimberly); sisters, Theresa McLeod (Edward Davis) Nancy McLeod, Ruby McLeod, Osteen McLeod, Patricia McLeod, Kathleen Drakeford (Curtis); best friend/brother, Johnny “Lil Bug” Smith, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
