LUGOFF – A celebration of life service for Sandy Heyward Boykin, Sr., 55, will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Powers funeral home. The Rev. Reece Byrd and the Rev. Ann Byrd will officiate. Mr. Boykin passed away Wednesday, April 09, 2014. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was a son of the late Heyward and Helen Parker Boykin. Mr. Boykin was a member of Lugoff Christian Ministry. He enjoyed working on small engines and painting. Surviving are his sons, Sandy Boykin, Jr. of Elgin, Kenny Boykin of Lugoff, and Jimmy Boykin of Lugoff; grandchild, Reese Kane Boykin; brothers, Rusty Parker, Charles Boykin, Zady Burton; and sisters, Vivian Jackson, and Wanda Rhodes. He was predeceased by a son, Charles E. Boykin.
