Obituary of Kathy Lynch

Kathy Hudson Lynch, 73, of Lugoff, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Edward Hudson and Katherine Holden Hudson and the wife of John Thomas Lynch. Kathy was a longtime member of Wateree Baptist Church. She was also the owner and operator of Mac’s Vacs for over 35 years. Kathy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, and “Ginka”, and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In addition to her husband of 52 years, Kathy is survived by her children, Tierney Boone (Brian) and Shauna Lynch; her stepson, Tate Lynch; and her grandchildren, Brennen, Braytan, and Tristan.

In addition to her father, Kathy was preceded in death by her infant daughter and her siblings, Phil Hudson and Dale Hudson.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00pm on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Wateree Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Taylor Wells. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
