CHARLESTON – A Funeral Mass for David Lawrence Kelly Jr., 43, will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Camden, S.C. The Rev. Father Paul Brenninkmeijer will officiate. Final Commendation and Farewell Prayers will be in Quaker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 Fair Street, Camden, SC 29020. David passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014. He was born in Charleston, S.C. on June 1, 1970, to Marguerite Isaac Kelly “Peggy” Mothershed and David Lawrence Kelly Sr. He served in the South Carolina Army National Guard 114th Signal Battalion. He was employed by Systems Products and Solutions in Herat, Afghanistan. David was an outdoorsman; he loved reading, cooking and riding his motorcycle and was an avid Raiders fan. Surviving are his daughter, Jordan Kelly of Lexington; mother, Peggy Mothershed (Robert) of Camden; father, David L. Kelly Sr. (Carol) of Charleston; companion and best friend, Kimberly Hilderbrandt; sisters, Angela Corbett (Don), Lisa Nguyen (Toan), Sandy Williams (Frank); brother, Bobby Mothershed; grandmothers, Elizabeth Crisp (Ted) and Gladys Kelly. David is also survived by nieces, Brianna, Kelly, and Morgan; and nephews, Kenny and Mason.
