Obituary of Thomas Christopher Lane Oelze

Thomas Christopher Lane Oelze, 30, of Lugoff, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Born in Columbia on November 4, 1992, he was the son of Christopher Alan Oelze (Teresa) and Barbara Diane Spence (Duane). Tommy was loving and generous to everyone he ever met. He had a big heart, especially for animals. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and riding motorcycles.

In addition to his parents and step-parents, Tommy is survived by his Fiancé, Amber Dougela; his brothers, Jason and Jordan Oelze; his Papa, Gary Cox; his paternal grandparents, Don and Elnora Oelze; as well as several nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Salmond; and maternal grandparents, Susan Addison and James Hammond.

The family will hold a time of gathering to celebrate Tommy’s life from 5-7pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.
