Obituary of James Kirl Avent III

James Kirl Avent, III of Lugoff, S.C., passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022.  Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 25, 1951 and later moved to Tyler, Texas with his family.  He was the son of the late James Kirl “Buddy” Avent, Jr. and Ruby Katherine “Lucky” Avent.  Kirl graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1969 and enlisted in the US Naval Reserves.

He is survived by a sister Teresa Avent Hodge (Jim) of Tyler, Texas; stepson, Robert Wilson, Jr. (Nadine); stepdaughter Janice Treisch (Robert Kearney); three granddaughters, Brenda Wood, Kaitlyn Wilson and Emma Wilson; two great-grandchildren, Jase McCullough and Ella McCullough; niece Tiffany Trimble LaRoux (Brandon) and their sons of Keller, Texas; along with cousins, in-laws and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents and his wife, Belle Cahill Avent.
