Obituary of Talley Howard Truesdale, Sr.

    CASSATT- A graveside service for Talley Howard Truesdale, Sr, 81, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

    Mr. Truesdale, husband of the late Patricia Truesdale, passed away on December 24, 2022 at MUSC Charleston Hospital. Born in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late Thornwell Lee and Maggie Peebles Truesdale. Mr. Truesdale was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He enjoyed fixing anything that was broken.

   Surviving are his sons, Talley Truesdale, Jr., Nelson Lee Truesdale; siblings, Eddie “Rabbit” Nelson, Janice Truesdale; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by children, Vickie Harris, Margaret Trimnal, William Truesdale; and siblings, Cecil “Buddy” Truesdale and Betty Dority.
