Obituary of Lois Grant

LUGOFF - Lois Peake Grant, 90, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Bessie Campbell Peake. Mrs. Grant, wife of the late William John Presley Grant, was a member of Spears Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing yardwork and fishing.

Surviving are her children, Brenda McCracken (Robert “Danny”) of Hopkins and their children, Mitchell and Victoria, Debra Martin of Lugoff and her daughter, Charlene, William “Johnny” John Grant of Lugoff and his children, Heather and Tripp; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Liam, Miele, Kris, Kobie, Haley, Ella, and Everley; and great-great granddaughter, Willow. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her great-great grandson, Kristopher; siblings, Fred Peake, Dan Peake, Annie Mae Mock, Daisy Shannon, Inez Horton and Gladys Jacobs.

Services for Mrs. Grant will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an orphanage of one’s choice.
