Sandra, Mike and all the family,
As I sit and ponder the times that I had the pleasure of sharing Jame's company down at Jan's gym, I smile a big smile. James as you all know was quite a character, full of humor, and exceptional wit, of which I was a victim more than once. If he was leaving and I was just coming in, he would go directly, get an ice cream cone, sit in his car and lick on it in front of the window where i was walking a hard incline on the treadmill. He enjoyed tormenting me almost as much as I enjoyed him doing so.
He told me much about his life, his family and the very interesting adventures he had in the car sales business.
and who could have ever thought he was in his late eighties when I was struggling at early seventies. He indeed was blessed by God and admired by men and adored by his friends.
There was a warning that came on the radio one day when we were in the gym together. The announcer said there was a car stolen from a local dealership, be on the lookout. James looked at me and stated, I ain't worried a bit! I ain't got a single car on the whole lot that can make it to the state line. How could you not love him.
God bless you family, he will be dearly missed.
