EASTOVER- A celebration of life service for Brenda Faye Carter Miers, 62, will be held Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Rev. Paul Miles and the Rev. George Cashwell will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Miers passed away April 24, 2014. Born in Fort Benning, GA, she was a daughter of the late Charlton and Ruby Goodson Carter. Mrs. Miers enjoyed shopping, and spending time at her mountain home on the Pidgeon River with family and friends. Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Garvice “Joe” Miers; sons, James Hughes (Brandie) of Eastover, Richard Hughes (Susan) of Lugoff, Jake Miers of Columbia; daughters, Kristen Crider (David) of West Columbia, Kelly Coombs (David) of Lugoff, Kayla Malloy (Travis) of Gadsden; brothers, Rick Carter (Jan), Donnie Renfroe (Diane); a sister, Kay Carter; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Bobby Renfroe and Randy Renfroe.
