My condolences to the Jellenik family. I had the privilege of being opposing counsel against Roger in an extremely contentious estate matter many years ago. In fact, in today's (5.3.2023) Advance Sheet from the SC Supreme Court there is a published opinion in an equally contentious estate matter. I only found out about Roger's passing because I was going to reach out to him today about the matter he and I handled and his name was no longer in the SC Bar directory. Despite the fact that our clients hated each other, Roger and I became friends. I am glad I got to know him. David Tatarsky

My sincere sympathy and condolences to the family of Roger Jellenik. Roger was a friend and colleague in our SC Elder Law community and groups. He was always kind and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a legal scholar, precise, and loved to learn. I enjoyed conversations with Roger. He was spirited and always eager to help others. Roger will be missed but always fondly remembered.

I have known Roger and Carole for 10 years. Roger and I spent many hours at the chess board discussing issues of the day. I will miss him dearly. Love to the family. Jack Sargeant
