Obituary of James Ray Holloman

WINNSBORO – Funeral service for Jimmy Holloman, 60, will be held at 3pm on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Lugoff First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Aimwell Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5pm – 7pm on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Powers Funeral Home.

Mr. Holloman passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.  Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Johnnie Mae Williamson Holloman and George Ray Holloman. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening, and cooking. Jimmy never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He could always bring laughter to any situation and always had a way of making you feel special. He loved his God, his friends and his family, and would do anything for them.

Surviving is his wife, Christopher “Chris” Lynn Smith Holloman; children, Forrest Holloman of Chattanooga, TN and Allie Holloman of Winnsboro, SC; brothers, George David Holloman (Sheila) of Lugoff, SC and Travis Holloman of Charleston, SC; and niece, Niki Holloman of Kershaw, SC.
