Obituary of Rebecca Nienow-Smith

Ridgeway – A memorial service for Rebecca Nienow-Smith, 52, will be held at Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends 1hr prior to the service at the funeral home.

Becky passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023.  Born in Columbia, S.C., she was the daughter of Debria Adcock Nienow and the late Gary Nienow. She enjoyed painting, crafting, and baking. Becky cherished the time she spent with her family and her grandchildren were a huge part of her life. She loved her family and was very proud of her kids. Becky was loved by so many and will be missed more than anyone can explain. She was one of a kind.

Surviving is her wife, Tonya Smith; children, Jacob Peake (Amanda), Tyler Peake, and Juleigh-Anne Peake; grandchildren, Abigail Peake and Jacob Peake, Jr., Dylan Troy LaFever, and Laykin Marie Floyd-Ritch; stepson, Jacob Shealy and his children, Caiden Scott Hemphill and Mila Nicole Shealy; sisters, Tamara Nienow-Floyd and Melissa Nienow.  Becky was preceded in death by her sister Leigh-Anne Nienow; her dad, Gary Nienow; her uncle, Greg Nienow; and her niece, Amanda Nelson.
