Remy and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Keith was one of a kind and I know I will never meet another man like him. He was a good friend and co-worker. I always enjoyed coming to see Happy Daze play at the VFW. Keith kept us laughing all the time and he will be surely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family at this time. Larry, you've left us way too soon! As our A-3 "bro" and my beloved roommate, you'll be in my memory forever. It's not so diplomatic to remind folks we referred to you affectionately as "Squatty Body," but you know it's out of love and respect and not ridicule! Your short stature was more than made up for by a big heart and wildly optimistic spirit, no matter what negative forces tried to bring us down. You'll always be the most famous of our criminal gang "The Magnificent Seven." You brought joy and Happy Daze to us all, which kept us motivated as cadets and rejuvenates us whenever the group performs at class reunions. I'm glad we got to visit with you and Remy and share some laughs during a recent reunion; I had no idea it would be the last time. But we'll surely meet again when the Long Gray Line locks arms up yonder in God's rockbound highland home. Until then, your many friends, Karen, and I salute you and send our thoughts and prayers to your wonderful family.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. The death of a loved one is one of the most devastating experiences a human can face. At times, the loss can seem unbearable. The Bible promises: "God is near to the brokenhearted." It also says; "Throw your burden on God and he will sustain you." (Psalm 34;18 and 55:22) I hope this message will help you cope with the loss of your loved one.

Larry, you were one of a few close friends during those 4 years we spent together. Having been raised in an Army family, I have never been much at keeping track of people - always figuring I'd meet them again at another assignment somewhere down the road. My heart is heavy with your loss, but I know that we will meet again at our last duty station. I look forward to that meeting, my friend. To Remy and the family: May God be with you and keep you in His arms.

I am so sorry to be reading this. I knew through Tommy that Larry had been struggling. I had known Larry since the early 1970's. We played golf together at Fort Jackson, SC. He was a darn good golfer and put me to shame. We would talk about Tommy a lot. LOL :) I have seen Larry many times since those days. He was a wonderful friend and brought tremendous joy not only to his beloved "Happy Daze" brothers, but to so many others. He will be sorely missed. May God provide the strength to Larry's family. Larry, Rest In Peace. I was honored to have known you, my friend.

Though the years have sent us our various ways and to all parts of the world and country, we came together for four years in Cadet Company A-3, USCC. As I sit here reflecting it seems like yesterday--the weight of the years lifts and the four year adventure that was our time at West Point is new and real. The music of the Happy Daze lightens the heart. Larry, you lifted our spirits more than once in that four years and for that I am eternally grateful. You are a great classmate. Save a place for us in the Long Gray Line when we get there.
To Larry's family--Larry was a great classmate with a great heart.

Larry,
I have known you since 1966 when we were Plebes but more importantly, I have been playing music with you since then too! For that wonderful opportunity, I will be eternally grateful. How many times have the Happy Daze performed together and in how many different places? Some good...and some not as good!! Haha. You were the "heart and soul" of the band with that passion and enthusiasm that just made our being together for nearly 48 years so, so special. You and all the members of the Happy Daze are more like brothers to me than classmates...we just did so much together. We will continue to perform but you will always be with us in spirit hitting those high notes and mellifluous harmonies. With apologies to The Righteous Brothers..."If there's a Rock and Roll Heaven...you know they've got a helluva band". I will miss you forever Larry. Rest in peace; job well done.
