Obituary of Barney L Taylor

Barney L. Taylor, 90, of Lugoff, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Luther and Sarah Hunter Taylor and the husband of Delores Simpson Taylor. He was a member of Wateree Baptist Church in Camden. After serving in the Army, Barney worked for many years as a Maintenance Supervisor. He loved his work and enjoyed playing golf and woodworking in his free time.

In addition to his loving wife, Barney is survived by his son, Robert L. Taylor, and his wife, Linda.

Barney was preceded in death by eight brothers, L.T. Taylor, Melvin Taylor, John Taylor, LeRoy Taylor, Doc Taylor, Cecil Taylor, Walter Taylor, and Earl Taylor.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery, Camden.
