Obituary of Charles Kenneth Haynesworth

CAMDEN- A funeral service for Charles Kenneth Haynesworth, 87, will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in St. John Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Richard James Sr. will officiate. A public viewing will be held Sunday from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

     Mr. Haynesworth, husband of the late Maggie Mae Haynesworth, passed away on July 4, 2023. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Earl and Hattie Haynesworth. Mr. Haynesworth was a member of St. John Baptist Church. He enjoyed building and painting.

     Left to cherish his memory are his children, Richard Johnson of Camden, Gloria Stone (Harry Moore) of Camden, Michael Haynesworth (Cathy) of Cassatt; siblings, Harold Haynesworth, Freddie Haynesworth, Lillie Hackney, Annie Bell Rembert; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a longtime friend, Liberty Mathis; a special family member, Stephanie Haynesworth; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Gregory Robinson; and siblings, George Haynesworth, Wilson Haynesworth, Wakefield Haynesworth, Albert Haynesworth, Carrie Dennis and Thomas Haynesworth.
