Obituary of Dale Ackert

Dale Ackert, 75, of Cassatt, SC and formerly of Connecticut, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Earl and Myra Ackert and the husband of over 20 years to Rebecca Kay Ackert. Dale was of the Jewish Faith. Though born in Bridgeport, Dale was raised in Stratford, CT, graduating from Bunnell High School in 1966. He moved to SC in 1999 to be with the love of his life, Becky. Dale enjoyed raising chickens, riding jet-skis, and spending time with his family and friends. Dale suffered from many medical issues in his childhood that caused him to be physically limited as an adult. In spite of these challenges, he never let his limitations get in the way of his enjoyment of life. He even self-published his autobiography detailing the medical struggles he faced and how he overcame them. Dale was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed.

In addition to his loving wife, Dale is survived by his children, Allyson Ackert, Alex Ackert (Katrean), Keith Ackert, and Kyle Ackert (Erin); step-children, Chip Knight (Jamie) and Jena Brazell (Jeff); grandchildren, Parker Lee Thompson, Tristan Ackert-Jones, McKenzie Ackert-Jones, Einsley Ackert-Jones, Izzabelle Ackert, Addison Hoppe, Logan Knight, Hardin Brazell, and Arya Ackert; his brother, Paul R. Ackert (Ronie); as well as his nephews, David Ackert (Eve) and Tod Ackert.
