Obituary of Tony Johnston

LUGOFF – A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Anthony Duane “Tony” Johnston, 51, will be held on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnston passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, August 5, 2023.  Born in Columbia, he was the son of David Allen Johnston Sr. and Carolyn Kimbler Johnston.  He enjoyed playing golf and fishing.

Surviving are his parents, David and Carolyn Johnston of Lugoff; daughter, Cassidy Medlin of Elgin; brother, David Allen Johnston, Jr. of Huntsville, Ala.; sister, Lisa Marie Hobbs (Kenneth) of Lugoff; nieces, Courtney Johnston and Maddison Hobbs; nephews, Stephen Johnston and Daniel Johnston; and a host of cousins.  He was predeceased by a son, Dustin Allen Johnston.
